A very hazy scene of an inland area in Kalimantan.

The image shown is a reduced resolution SPOT quicklook image covering about 60km by 60km

Image of the same area taken 5 days later. Beside the river, two fresh plumes of smoke is clearly visible. Such inland burning can often escape detection from satellite imagery because they can be masked by the thick haze covering the area.

On the right side of the image, a fire causing a plume of smoke can be spotted under the thick haze.
