About Me

I am currently a Graduate Student under the supervision of  Dr Liew Soo Chin and Prof Lim Hock. My Phd dissertation topic is Inverse modeling for retrieval of the optical properties of sea water and atmospheric aerosols from remote sensing reflectance.  I graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics, 2001 and has been at the Centre for Remote Imaging, Sensing and Processing. As my dissertation topic would tell you,

My current research interests:

a.      Field Measurements of Optical Properties of Sea water around Singapore.

b.     Modeling of Atmospheric parameters such as reflectance, diffuse transmittance, optical thickness and any other parameters that would affect remote sensing measured reflectance.

c.      Inverse modeling of Water leaving reflectance, and using it to retrieve optical properties of water such as absorption and backscattering.

My non-research interests:

a.      System administration of Linux based workstations

b.     Networking COWs ( not the real cows) of Linux, Windows, Solaris based workstation.

c.      Photography ( such as scenery, kids, almost anything nice :P)

d.      Bibilcal History

e.      Typesetting Documents with LaTex
